New Community Training Project
NICHS has been granted £150,000.00 over 4 years to employ a member of staff as well as project running costs for a new Community Training Project. The new Project has 2 main focuses and they are on participatory learning and peer education based in communities where young people feel more comfortable and better able to accept sensitive messages from within.  It enables young people to become involved in sustainable partnerships at a cross-cultural level with NICHS making provision for internal community support by training leaders to work with the young people in delivering training and providing programmes for others in their community. This has the secondary effect of enhancing the skills and personal and professional development of established community leaders.  We wish to thank the Big Lottery Fund for their tremendous support.  If you wish to learn more about the work of the Big Lottery fund go to www.biglotteryfund.org.uk.
