TRAINING
NICHS is a community relations youth organisation who have been
working throughout
We aim to provide opportunities for people and their
communities to develop and grow.
We consider
young people to be the heart and future of our communities.
Almost 40 years of experience have shown us that many young
people find it hard to achieve in school and often leave the
education system without the skills to progress in life.
Our experience has enabled us to build up a portfolio of
training opportunities that can be a fun and positive experiences
for young people at the same time as building vital personal, social
and communication skills.
We offer our courses to communities, groups and clubs who
serve young people and adults who are not normally attracted to the
traditional spheres of learning and we bring the training to you
because we recognise that some people may be nervous to take that
step outside the perceived safety of their own community, group or
club.
NICHS works with young people and adults within their own
community providing training that develops character, skills and
qualities that enhance community life and make them better places to
live.
NICHS TRAINING PROGRAMMES
NICHS takes our Training Programmes to the community and involves
people least likely to be attracted to the normal sphere of learning
and most likely to remain within the perceived safety of their own
communities. We are
reaching those with the least opportunity to break away from the
confines of their communities which is a barrier to their personal
development and future prospects.

COSTS
Fees are available on request and are based on individuals attending
each course or workshop and its duration.

The Training Team
Each course we offer is unique.
We tailor courses to specifically meet the needs of your
group or your community.
Some may be Accredited Courses that may last
a number of months, others’ may be one off workshops that address an
immediate and particular need and there are many opportunities in
between.
We have a small team of tutors who have a wealth of
experience working directly with young people and adults in the
community in a youth work and facilitation capacity.
In fact, our 5 tutors have over 80 years
experience between them!
